Zimco has pretty much cover it, if u don't mind reading my uses which are similar:
** Always pre-soak soya bean the night before,
** If not used, change water everyday
** Add 1 tsp. of oil if u do not want the beans to over boil.
** Try not to use soda as it may decrease the nutritional value
1. Soya milk,
2. The residue after making soya milk used in Meatloaf, hamburger, etc. This we call meat extender. I normally keep some in the freezer for next use.
3. Cook with your stews (Beef/Pork/Lamb) Idea comes from a famous Italian dish, can't remember name of dish, but it is stewed lamb with big white navy beans. (When u use this method, try not to add salt till it is done. It is said that salt will toughen ? <- can't remember.)
4. Soya is one of the few grains/produce that contain full protein. U can use it ALONE, without mixing grains as in most other vegetarian dishes:
- Chinese: "boil it and mix with season seed oil or hot spices" per Zimco
- Western: soya + tomato + spices (Basil+Oregano, Bay leave+Thym, etc.) (More or less Western Chilli)
- Substitute ground meat with soya bean in your recipe, e.g. Chili above.
